INDORE: As many as 400 persons, who have allegedly been falsely implicated under Section 498-A, participated in the seminar on ‘Hope for men’ organized at Jal Auditorium on Saturday.
Coordinator, Save Family Foundation, Amit Lakhani addressed the gathering. He said thousands of phone calls from alleged victims of dowry act are being received from Madhya Pradesh of late. Save Indian Family has decided to extend its help to people suffering in MP and weekly meetings will be held for the same, he added.
Activist Deeptanshu Shukla, presented statistics on growing misuse and conviction rates of 498-A in state.
Another activist from Delhi, Swarup Sarkar spoke on gender-biased laws and false cases.
Niladri Shekhar Das from Kolkata presented case studies of men who successfully fought anti-male wave.
