INDORE: A 38-years-old woman allegedly hacked her estranged husband to death on Monday evening for eyeing her married daughter. After killing her history-sheeter husband, Femida Bi, 38, and her daughter locked the house from inside, and after five hours, at about 12 midnight she surrendered at Chandan Nagar police station.

According to in-charge Chandan Nagar police station, the complainant had killed her second husband Ravi alias Champiya, a resident of Badnagar as he was eyeing his step daughter daughter, who was married recently. The daughter had shifted to her mother’s place owing to some dispute with her in-laws.

“On Monday evening Ravi, who is the second husband of Femida Bi had come to stay with her at Maruti Palace,” said Dixit adding that Ravi was in an inebriated condition and attempted to rape Famida Bi’s 20-year-old daughter. Femida’s attempt to protect her daughter proved futile following which she attacked Ravi with red-chilli powder and later hacked him to death.

Dixit added that the mother-daughter duo were in a state of shock after the incident and had locked the house from inside with the body of Ravi lying in a pool of blood.

“It was around 12 midnight, Femida Bi walked into Chandan Nagar police station and surrendered,” said Dixit adding that the house was in a disarray and was in a pool of blood.

“Eighteen cases are registered against Ravi alias Champiya in different police stations of the city,” said Dixit adding that Femida Bi had divorced her husband Mohammad Ashafque in 2006, with whom she has two daughter and two sons. Since then she has been staying with Ravi. But, both Ravi and Femida too parted ways in 2010 and have been staying separate. But the deceased had been frequenting Femida Bi’s house.
